DCA vs ADCA — Course Fees, Duration and Careers (2026)

Vaidhya Education Team · Updated Sep 2026 · 5 min read

Quick answer Take DCA (6–12 months, ₹8,000–₹18,000) if you need working computer skills quickly for a job or government-form work. Take ADCA (12–18 months, ₹12,000–₹25,000) if you want the deeper syllabus — programming basics, Tally/GST and full office tools — and a stronger résumé.

The most common question in computer diplomas: "Should I take DCA or ADCA?" Both start right after Class 10 and both teach computer skills — the difference lies in duration, depth and fees. Below is the full comparison, followed by a simple decision rule.

What DCA covers

What ADCA adds

Will DCA/ADCA work on government job forms?

Important: when a government vacancy asks for a computer certificate, it usually specifies "a certificate from a recognised board/university". So choose a university-affiliated or NSDC-affiliated certificate. Vaidhya's diplomas are ISO 9001:2015 certified and NSDC affiliated (TC199556), and every certificate carries QR-based online verification — any employer can verify it. For private-company jobs, practical skills matter most — your hands-on ability is the real certificate there.

Job options after DCA/ADCA

🎯 Simple decision rule: Short on time or budget → DCA. Have a year and heading toward accounts/design → ADCA. Still unsure? Start DCA alongside Class 10/12 studies and add ADCA modules later — module-wise upgrades are possible.

Why do fees vary so much?

Fees depend on the institute, city and certificate type. A university-affiliated diploma (with exams and a marksheet) costs a little more than a pure skill-training certificate. At Vaidhya you can also pay in instalments — ask a counsellor for a schedule. Small amounts rarely need a loan, but if you're planning bigger studies, see the education loan guide →
